Built on Curiosity. Driven by Story.
We’re Chad and Lisa. Partners in life and in work.
Fork in the Road Studio is our independent production space, born from a shared love of travel, food, and meaningful connection.
What started with two backpacks and one-way tickets has grown into two YouTube channels, hundreds of videos, and a growing community of curious, kind people around the world.
We make content that’s personal, unscripted, and grounded in place. Whether we’re sharing a beer with a brewer in Minnesota or wandering through a market in Estonia, we’re always chasing the same thing: stories that stick with you.

Chad – Host, Storyteller, Editor-in-Chief
A natural interviewer with a background in community storytelling and education, Chad brings warmth and wit to every conversation. He’s the on-camera presence in most of our videos and the voice behind much of our narrative structure.
Whether he’s chatting with a mayor in a small-town cafe or narrating a hike through ancient ruins, Chad is always looking for the “why” behind the moment.
Lisa – Producer, Editor, Creative Strategist
The mind behind the scenes and the polish in the final product, Lisa brings structure, intuition, and a sharp creative eye to every project. With a background in marketing, visual design, and storytelling, she weaves together footage, voice, and pacing to turn raw moments into meaningful narratives.
Whether she’s framing a shot in a quiet café or layering in just the right music cue, Lisa ensures each story stays grounded, intentional, and true to its tone.

Why “Fork in the Road”?
It’s a symbol of decision, exploration, and possibility. Every story we tell starts with a turn. Sometimes planned, sometimes not.
The “fork” also nods to our food content, while “the road” captures our love of travel and the unexpected paths that shape a life.
We’ve taken many literal and figurative forks in the road over the years, and this studio is the place where those stories come together.
Curiosity over clicks
We don’t chase trends. We follow questions.
Independent creation
We produce, edit, and publish our own work. It’s not always easy—but it’s always ours.
Respect for people and place
We aim to represent communities thoughtfully, without oversimplifying or exoticizing.
A sense of humor
Because travel is messy, food gets cold, and not everything goes as planned. (That’s usually when the good stuff happens.)
